Chiru Has Little Interest In State Politics
After fulfilling his ambition of becoming a central minister,
megastar Chiranjeevi has been showing little interest in the state of
affairs of the Congress party in the state.
As union minister for tourism, Chiranjeevi is happily spending his
time in New Delhi notwithstanding the fact that the Congress party is in
deep crisis in the state. He is not participating in any of the
brainstorming meetings of the party nor is he evincing any interest in
resolving the turmoil in the state Congress over the Telangana issue.
Only when Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress
Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana come to Delhi, Chiranjeevi
speaks a little about the state politics.
On Monday, too, Chiranjeevi had a brief meeting with Pradesh Congress
Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana in Delhi and discussed the
developments in the state. Ironically, he, too, does not seem to have
any knowledge about the cooperative society elections.
“The results of the cooperative societies’ elections clearly indicate
that the Congress party is still strong in the state and there is no
threat to the government till 2014,” he said.
May be, Chiranjeevi needs to take a little more interest in the party
activities in the state, rather than confining himself to Delhi.
