With popular hero Junior N T Rama Rao staying away from Telugu Desam Party activities for the last few years, it looks like his actor-cousin Kalyan Ram is evincing more interest in the party affairs.
Obviously due to his poor show in the film industry, Kalyan Ram is frequently making his presence felt at the “Vasthunna Meekosam” padayatra of his uncle and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu. And quite often, he is making political statements in support of the TDP and Naidu.
On Sunday, too, Kalyan Ram told the media that the whole of NTR family was behind the TDP president.
“NTR had established the TDP for the same of common man. Hence, his family will continue to support the party by all means and strive for the uplift of the Telugu people. The YSR Congress party headed by jailed Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is spreading canards against the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu,” the actor said.
May be Kalyan Ram wants to test his fortunes in politics, as he failed to make it big in film industry. May be, he thinks he has some space in the TDP, as Jr NTR has had some differences with Naidu.
