KCR Insists On Seats And Votes!

Notwithstanding the criticism against him for linking Telangana statehood issue to the elections, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao on Monday reiterated that winning of enough number of MP and MLA seats was essential to achieve the goal of separate Telangana.
Reacting to the attack on him by CPI state secretary Dr K Narayana that the TRS was more interested in seats and votes, rather than running the movement for Telangana, KCR said his party had a specific agenda to achieve the goal, if the Centre did not concede the Telangana with Hyderabad as its capital straightaway.
“While continuing the movement in different forms, the TRS believes that winning maximum number of MP and MLA seats is also an important strategy to bring pressure on the Centre to get Telangana at least after 2014,” he said.
The TRS president reiterated that his party was aiming at wining 100 assembly seats and 15 MP seats in 2014 elections.
“Can anybody ask for the resolution in the assembly if we win so many seats?” he asked.
