The presence of Tamil films in Tollywood through the dubbed format
has been strong since long but in the recent past the graph has come
down. It has become so weak that now reports are arriving that even a
film coming from director Shankar is not finding any takers. This is
coming as a surprise.
Usually buyers stand first in line for Shankar’s films but for his new venture ‘I’ sources say they are not showing any interest. The first reason is the hero of the film Vikram. Apparently, he has been going through continuous flops and so no spirits are lifting to buy the film.
Secondly the native Telugu cinema trend is running strong. Even something good like ‘Pizza’ is not becoming full and public are not in a position to encourage dubbed movies. Of course, ‘I’ has A R Rahman’s music but it is not sufficient, say the crowds. They are quoting about how ‘Kadali’ flopped so as of now the filmnagar news is that there are no buyers and enquiries for Shankar’s film.
