Jayaprada Takes Potshots On Padayatras!

Glamorous actress of yesteryears and Rampur MP Jayaprada seems to be undecided yet on her return to Andhra Pradesh politics by 2014, as she is still keeping media persons guessing on which party she would join in the coming days.
Jayaprada on Monday took potshots at leaders who are undertaking “padayatras” across the state, ignoring people’s problems.
“Some leaders are focusing on going round the state on foot only with a view to safeguard their political bases. They are not agitating on the people’s issues. Once I come back to the state politics, I will concentrate on highlighting the people’s problems,” she said.
One wonders whether Jayaprada is targeting the Telugu Desam Party or the YSR Congress party. At present, both TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress party leader Y S Sharmila have been undertaking padayatras. Going by her words, Jayaprada is attacking both the parties. Thus, it creates an impression that she might either join the Congress party or the Bharatiya Janata Party. Since her mentor and guide Amar Singh is not favour of the Congress, she might prefer the BJP which has fair chances of coming to power at the Centre. She already had a few meetings with the BJP leaders in the past.
“I have not yet decided which party I should join. There is still some more time for the elections,” Jayaprada said.
