Jayasudha To Quit, If Karthika Gets MLC Seat

The differences between actress-turned-Secunderabad Congress MLA Jayasudha and former Hyderabad Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy surfaced once again with the actress expressing her dissatisfaction over the reports that Karthika or her husband Chandra Reddy might be given the MLC seat by the party.
Jayasudha on Friday threatened to resign from her assembly seat if the Congress high command decides to give MLC ticket to Karthika or her husband. There were reports that the couple were doing hectic lobbying with the party high command to get the ticket and they were being supported by Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana.
Jayasudha and Karthika have not been in good terms ever since the latter denied nomination to Jayasudha’s followers in the ward committee elections after the Mayoral elections. In fact, it was Jayasudha who had campaigned for Karthika in the GHMC elections and got her elected as Tarnaka corporator. Later, after becoming Mayor, Karthika started ignoring Jayasudha and even lobbying for Secunderabad seat in place of the latter.
