A popular Television channel has recently conducted a survey on five
different categories Greatest Actor, Greatest Actress, Greatest Film,
Greatest Director and Greatest Music Composer of all time celebrating
100 years of Indian cinema. A few results come as a surprise while some
others came as expected. Check out the winners list here:
Telugu audience has a very good reason to cheer as the legendary actor and former chief minister of AP NTR Rama Rao was voted as the Greatest Indian Actor of all time with 53% votes. While Kamal Haasan occupied the second place with 44% votes. Others stars like Kannada kantheerava Rajkumar and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal have managed to get 1% votes and rest of the actors got even less than that.
In the Greatest Actress category, Sridevi was voted as the Greatest Actress of all time with 39% votes while Madhuri Dixit and Savitri stood in second and third places with 16% and 12% respectively.
Coming to the Greatest Film category, ‘Nayagan’ (‘Nayakudu’ in Telugu) was voted as the Greatest Film of all time with 42% votes followed by ‘Sholay’ with 29%.
Creative genius Mani Ratnam has attracted a total of 29% votes in the Greatest Director category, while yesteryear great K Balachander stood second with 18% votes.
‘Maestro’ Ilayaraja has got 49% votes in the Greatest Music Composer category while AR Rahman was at no 2 with 29%.
