'Baadshah' Gave Big Jolt To Exhibitors??

No matter how much the hype and repeated statements from the producer, it looks like the film ‘Baadshah’ may have just scraped through with some decent gains. Still, it could not save a few exhibitors from losses. This was quite expected looking at the way money was spent in making the film without any control or planning.
The final figures of ‘Baadshah’ are almost there and according to that, other than Ceded and overseas the film has resulted in losses. There is also news that even producer Bandla Ganesh lost 3-4 crores. The critics say ‘Baadshah’ was a film to be wrapped up around Rs 35 crores and that would have created wonders.
But taking it to nearly Rs 55 crores has been the key reason why the business failed. Of course, the maximum damage will be done to the exhibitors. This can be another indicator of how the star directors should plan their films in terms of budgets and don’t spill the money because the producer is giving.
