Can Balayya come in public without make-up?

Senior actor and aspiring politician from Telugu Desam Party Nandamuri Balakrishna does not have any film on hand present, though he may be working on a project or two for the coming days.
Yet, Balakrishna always appears in full make-up whenever he makes an appearance in public – whether it is a function at Basava Tarakam Memorial Cancer Hospital or TDP meetings in Krishna district. He sports a wig and dark moustaches and grease paint all over his face, giving an impression that he has just come into a public after completing a shooting schedule.
One wonders whether Balakrishna would continue the same look even during the electioneering in the next elections. May be he is of the view that the people would not like to see his original appearance as he definitely looks older. But many feel that it looks very much artificial to appear in public with make-up. Even his father N T Rama Rao went into the public with his original appearance rather than with make-up and he was able to attract the people with his electrifying speech.
So, what matters to the public is not his make-up, but his leadership qualities, his articulation and his ability to attack the rivals. But everybody knows how Balakrishna’s public speech would be. So, he is banking more on his on-screen appearance rather than his political skills!
