NTR Belongs To All, Says Purandeshwari

At a time when the Telugu Desam Party cadres are raising a hue and cry over YSR Congress party leaders using the pictures of former chief minister N T Rama Rao in their flexi-boards, his daughter and union minister Daggubati Purandeshwari made an interesting comment that would definitely irritate the TDP leaders.
“NTR belongs to every Telugu person and is like a god for them. He has a permanent place in the hearts of the Telugu people.  Just like Mahatma Gandhi and Jyotiba Phule, NTR is a revered person for all the people. There is nothing more to comment on the controversy of his photo being used by YSR Congress party leaders in their flexi boards,” Purandeshwari said.
Obviously, she was taking pot shots at the TDP leaders including her own brother Nandamuri Balakrishna for owning up NTR and restricting him only to the TDP. She was indirectly hinting that NTR was not just a TDP leader, but a national leader like Gandhi and Phule; so any leader from any party can worship him!
