A milestone film in Pawan Kalyan’s career is ‘Gabbar Singh’ and due
credit for that goes to director Harish Shankar. Given that situation, a
question is raising as to why Harish stepped aside from its sequel. The
cine circles say there are some strong reasons behind this decision of
Harish.
As such, ‘Gabbar Singh’ is the remake of Bollywood movie ‘Dabangg’ and there the sequel in Hindi flopped. Of course, ‘Gabbar Singh’ was made with many changes from the original, hence the big hit in Telugu. Sources say the storyline of ‘Gabbar Singh 2’ is not of ‘Dabangg 2’. It is a new story by Pawan, director Sampath Nandi and a team of writers.
This is the major reason why Harish reportedly stepped down from the sequel project. Also, history has shown that sequels never worked in Tollywood. If the sequel flops then even ‘Gabbar Singh’s credit will go. If it scores a hit then the credit will go to Pawan Kalyan. Either ways, there will be no black mark to Harish’s career. Many now say that he has taken a wise decision
