Death of 'Shadow'- A Postmortem

The recent release ‘Shadow’ was the first wicket to fall in the summer season among the series of hits that Tollywood box office has been seeing. Since it is a big film, the damage has been felt by many. But in the recent past, very few big films have been slammed the way ‘Shadow’ has been. So, here is our understanding of this effect.
As such, it is not as bad as ‘Okka Magadu’. But many are giving strong negative feedback. The key reason for that happens to be the social media. If it is flop or below average they are taking it to such a level that it becomes a disaster. If it is good then super hit status is being brought due to the discussions on social media.
‘Shadow’ is being ripped apart with jokes, tortures on social media. Though word of mouth publicity is there from long but due to stuff like Facebook, Twitter the impact has increased. This is one key contributing factor. Many film folks must take this as an example and be alert while shaping up their films.
