The third generation of Akkineni clan is working their way up the filmi ladder. Though he has had a couple of hits, Naga Chaitanya is struggling to gain a firm foothold in the industry. He has stiff competition from many younger heroes. But it won’t be long before he will be competing with his brother Akhil.
Akhil, who made his filmi debut with Sisindri as a child, is grooming himself to get into Tollywood.
Dad Nagarjuna who has been delaying his entry, is now busy checking out scripts for his son. There were strong rumours that Akhil’s first film would be directed by Srinu Vaitla.
But Akhil has made it clear that it is mere gossip. He says he will announce the project once all details are worked out.
“I am waiting for the big day. It’s a nice feeling to wait for my film,” says Akhil.
