Telangana Rashtra Samithi K Chandrasekhara Rao’s provocative comment
that the government employees from Seemandhra would have to leave
Hyderabad once the Telangana is officially formed has kicked up a lot of
dust and storm in state politics.
Telugu Desam Party made serious exception to KCR’s remarks, saying that the TRS president had sought to provoke Seemandhra people, as he was not interested in the formation of Telangana.
TDP spokesman S Chandramohan Reddy observed that KCR was now talking about government employees, but in the future he may target common people coming from Seemandhra region. “Can the TRS chief ask Congress president Sonia Gandhi to leave for Italy?” he asked.
Labour minister Danam Nagendar came down heavily on the TRS chief saying, “If anybody needs to leave, then the first person should be KCR himself, as he is from Vizianagaram.” He said that KCR’s children might have the right to be here but he himself has to leave once Telangana state is formed.
“KCR, for his greedy political needs is playing with the lives of settlers in Hyderabad. If his greedy political tactics continue, we will have to reconsider our stand on the status of Hyderabad and we will be there to protect Seemandhra people in the city,” he said and added that Rao was worried at Congress party taking the credit for the formation of Telangana state.
