Chiru Demand On Hyderabad Has No Takers

Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal, who has once again taken a plunge into the Samaikyandhra movement, pooh-poohed the demand of union tourism minister K Chiranjeevi that Hyderabad should be made a permanent capital for both Seemandhra and Telangana or a union territory.
“Chiranjeevi’s demand has no meaning at a time when the people of Seemandhra are demanding that the state remains united. They do not want to follow his suggestion for a permanent joint capital or union territory. They would also not have accept the offer of AICC inn-charge of Andhra affairs Digvijay Singh that the Centre would help Seemandhra to build a better capital than Hyderabad,” Lagadapati said.
He went to the extent of saying that the Lok Sabha would not function even for a minute if Telangana bill was introduced in the House.
“We will see that the Bill would not get passed as several MPs are opposing it. If the Congress high command and the UPA would go ahead with it without heeding to the people’s demand, they would have to face serious consequences,” the MP threatened.
