Jayaprada Turns 52, Prefers Jagan

Glamorous actress of yesteryears and Rampur MP Jayaprada, who turned 52 on Wednesday, seems to have made up her mind to join the YSR Congress party, headed by Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Jayaprada had a night halt at former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board chairman M Audikeshavulu Naidu in Tirupati before having darshan of Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala. She chalked out her future course of action after discussing with Audikesavulu and his son who is already playing a key role in the YSR Congress party.
Speaking to the media later, Jayaprada said harassment of committed leaders had become the order of the day.
“I treated Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav as my father. But he had harassed me and expelled me from party. In Andhra Pradesh, too, the Congress party has been harassing Y S Jaganmohan Reddy only because he had refused to surrender before the high command,” she said, indirectly hinting that she would prefer to join hands with YSR Congress.
She was also all praise for former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. It was due to the welfare schemes undertaken by late YSR that the state had developed. She also complimented his daughter Y S Sharmila for undertaking marathon padayatra to know the people’s problems.
“I will join the party which is concerned with the common man’s plight. I will return to Andhra politics soon and contest from Rajahmundry parliamentary constituency,” she said.
