Ramulamma Ready For Showdown With KCR

Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP from Medak Vijaya Shanti is not willing to desert her constituency in the next parliamentary elections, even if it results in a confrontation with party president K Chandrasekhara Rao.
Vijayashanti categorically made it clear to the media that there was no question of giving up her claim over Medak and sacrificing her seat for the sake of anybody. However, she said if KCR himself is willing to contest from Medak, she would discuss the issue with him and take an appropriate decision.
“But if I am asked to vacate the seat for the sake of a retired IAS officer or IPS officer, I am not going to yield,” she said.
Vijayashanti is of the view that the people of Medak want to see a politician who has been fighting for their problems and the Telangana cause over the years.
“They will not accept bureaucrats who enter the party in the last minute, because they always worked against the Telangana interests when in service,” she argued, indirectly referring to the reports that KCR is contemplating fielding retired IAS officer K V Ramanachary from Medak.
