Konda Surekha Lost Her Credibility!

Former minister and firebrand woman Konda Surekha has proved that she has virtually no credibility and that she lacks the minimum levels of decency or decorum in politics.

Fine, Surekha has every right to come out of the YSR Congress party in protest against the party’s pro-Samaikyandhra stand. Nobody would find fault with her and in fact, one would appreciate her commitment towards Telangana.  

But what has shocked everybody was the way she made wild allegations against YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, whom she was praising as the messaiah of masses till recently.

Surekha alleged that Jagan had plundered one lakh crore rupees through illegal means and described the YSR Congress party as a private limited company. She even accused jagan and his mother Y S Vijayalakshmi of selling party tickets.

One wonders why Surekha continued in the party till now if she was aware of Jagan’s ill-gotten wealth and selling of party tickets. How could a party, which has won the people’s mandate in 17 assembly seats and two Lok Sabha constituencies, become a private limited company overnight?

Well, Surekha must remember that her allegations would not bring her any political mileage. Instead, people would only look at her as a political turncoat. There were other Telangana leaders in the YSR Congress party, who too had quit over Telangana, but they never made any wild allegations against Jagan. They have gained the credibility, while Surekha has miserably lost it!
