Both the audience and the critics agree that Krishna Vamsi is a talented director.
But his style of tackling a story and the way he puts in a lot of money to get the results he wants has led to many producers distancing themselves from him.
His latest film Paisa that is being produced by Puppala Ramesh had its audio release. But the film hasn’t been released yet. It is said that the producer is facing severe financial problems.
Film Nagar insiders say that there was no need for Krishna Vamsi to spend crores of rupees on a film that has Nani as the hero.
Earlier, he spent a lot of money during the making of Gopichand-starrer Mogudu. The film failed at the box office and the producer had to incur heavy losses.
Almost all the top heroes are no longer accessible to Krishna Vamsi. Barring heroes such as Nani, Gopichand, Srikant and the like, top heroes stay away from his sittings. Krishna Vamsi too claims that his films don’t need top stars. He says it’s the story that is the main protagonist in his films.
One can only believe him once Paisa releases.
