YSR Congress party appears to be waiting for an opportunity to join
hands with the Communist parties in its fight against the government and
probably in the next elections as well.
This was made clear by YSRC honorary president Y S Vijayalakshmi. She expressed her solidarity with the Left party leaders who have been on indefinite fast for the last three days in protest against the power cuts and abnormal hike in power tariff.
“We fully appreciate concern of the Left parties against power crisis. In the past, too, late YSR had joined hands with the Left parties to fight against the power tariff hike during the TDP regime. Even now, we are prepared to work with them,” she said.
Vijayalakshmi challenged that Kiran Kumar Reddy go to his native Chittoor district to verify whether farmers were really getting seven hour power supply.
“Our party will launch an agitation programme from Pileru, the constituency of the chief minister. I challenge him to prove that farmers in his constituency were getting adequate power supply,” she said.
