'Zanjeer' Director's Direct Telugu Film

In the last few years, there has been a lot of exchange happening between Tollywood and Bollywood in terms of films, technicians, actors and other aspects. But it has been a rare instance to see a Telugu director doing a film in Bollywood and vice-versa.  In the recent past, it was only Puri Jagannadh, Prabhu Deva and A R Murugadoss who did that in Hindi.
But now it looks like one Hindi director has decided to set foot in Tollywood and make his presence felt. He is none other than Apoorva Lakhia. Apparently, Lakhia is currently busy with the shooting of the film ‘Zanjeer’ and he is also holding the credit for it’s Telugu version ‘Toofan’. Sources say he was quite impressed with the discipline and professionalism here.
So now, it is heard that Lakhia has decided he will make a direct movie in Telugu once he wraps up ‘Zanjeer’. Close circles of Lakhia reveal he is keen to show the Telugu audience a taste of Mumbai Masala and see how best he can compete with the spice of Tollywood. This will be an interesting assignment.
