Veteran comedian and director AVS (Amanchi Venkata Subrahmanyam)
breathed his last a short while ago in Hyderabad. The actor who is
suffering from a liver related ailment is being treated in a private
hospital in the city for the last 10 days. He underwent a Liver related
surgery in the past. It is said that he died after his liver and kidney
failed today. Doctors advised his relatives to take him home since the
medication stopped working. He breathed his last at his son’s house in
Manikonda and will be cremated tomorrow.
AVS started his career as journalist and he forayed in to film industry with Bapu’s Mister Pellam movie in 1993. From then, he appeared in more than 500 films in various roles. He also produced 2 movies and directed four. He worked as general secretary to Movie Artistes Association (MAA). He survived by his wife, a son and a daughter
